i am working journalist At present, I am serving Pakistan’s largest Media organ, Daily Jang as a Senior Sub Editor Cum Reporter in its Peshawar Bureau. Beside routine daily events, I am also contributing Investigative News stories, Articles, and Features on different issues, particularly on Culture promotion and revival, Fun Fair, current situation, political situation of Region, Province and Country. i am also president of culture journalists forum www.facebook.com/cjf.org
We are promoting culture activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA . Pashtun society and culture is the main target of the current wave of terrorism. As Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province and the adjacent federally administered Tribal Areas (FATA) are ahead with militancy and terrorism from the last several years, it badly affected Cultural and socio-traditional activities. At the very outset of their drive, the terrorists have made first attempts against those who were linked with folk musics, arts and literature. In this connection, a number of poets, artists, singers, writers and instrument experts were either killed, abducted or forced to abandon homes and take shelter in other main cities like Islamabad or Karachi. Even some of the affected persons have made good in escape to abroad.A group of likeminded persons from Peshawar, mostly journalists, writers and intellectuals have initiated efforts for the preservation of Culture. In this respect, they formed the Cultural Journalists Forum and started activities from its platforum I am serving the forum as its first Elected President of cultural journalists’ forum (CJF) from the last two years.
