Galen Ayers is one of the original founders of My Alive Day. A musician, writer, psychologist and philanthropist who’s' work and support has encompassed Centrepoint, Trekstock, People and Environment Awards, National Geographic, Everything is a Benefit organization, Talent for Humanity organization and the powerful documentary 'Rape as a Weapon of War'.

Qualified as a psychologist specializing in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and TLT (Time-line Therapy) practitioner. She holds a BA in Ethnomusicology and Religious studies, an MA in Buddhism, and an MA is Psychology of Religion from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

Galens' work in the arts as a writer, musician, blogger and performer in addition to her academic background brings a fundamental understanding of the importance to frame and communicate stories. Her work has led to collaborations with outstanding and established artists and Galen contributed a track to the Centrepoint album '1969: Key to Change'. She was joined by Jools Holland, Johnny Marr, The Feeling and Mick Hucknall on the record and launched the campaign with Prince William in 2010.
